designEARTH Lab is a practice-based research space that engages directly with materials, landscapes, and communities to explore creative responses to ecological challenges.

Working across art, architecture, craft traditions, and ecological design, the lab treats the campus and its surrounding environments as a living laboratory. Through hands-on experimentation, collaborative learning, and public interventions, the lab investigates how natural materials, soil systems, food cultures, and collective practices can shape new forms of design and spatial practice.

At its core, designEARTH brings together artists, designers, architects, ecologists, craftspeople, and students to work with matter and place in ways that reveal deeper connections between the built environment and the living world.
